We present an innovative approach that bridges the value of gold with the potential of NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens).
Imagine owning gold not as a physical object, but as a digital asset. Each NFT in our ecosystem is a representation of a real world gold item. This means each digital item has a specific weight and value, mirroring its physical form. Although we don't physically own the items, they have an equivalent value because they are backed by XAUT (based on item's weight), securely stored in a smart contract vault.
This digital representation removes the traditional challenges of storage and security associated with physical gold. So, while you don't physically own the gold, its value and existence are real, backed by its worth in digital gold stored safely.
The process is as follows:
Minting: Upon visiting our platform, users can mint a chosen gold item as an NFT, each with a limited supply. This digital acquisition is directly tied to the weight and current market value of the selected gold item.
Value Appreciation: While these gold NFTs, like other NFTs, have the potential to appreciate based on market dynamics and their limited supply, they have an inherent base value (floor price) â the current market value of the gold they represent. This ensures a fundamental value, safeguarding against drastic devaluation.
Trading or Holding: Owners have the option to hold their NFTs, potentially benefiting from both the NFT's appreciation in the marketplace and any upward movement in gold's value. These NFTs can be traded on well known platforms such as OpenSea.
The Forge - Melting NFTs: User also have the choice to liquidate their NFT. Our platform offers a unique "melting" process in our forge. Through this, the NFT is burned for its equivalent value in XAUT (Tether Gold), and the user receives the tokens (in this way, the supply decreases).
