To allow users to transfer their XAUT tokens to Arbitrum, we have developed a bridge, operating as follows:
Ethereum to Arbitrum (or other blockchain):
Users lock their XAUT tokens in a contract on Ethereum.
The same number of WXAUT tokens is minted and sent to the user on Arbitrum.
Arbitrum to Ethereum:
Users burn their WXAUT tokens on Arbitrum.
An equivalent number of XAUT tokens is unlocked and made available to the user on Ethereum.
This mechanism aims to launch a new market for the XAUT token on other blockchains beyond Ethereum. In our case to back our NFTs with gold. By doing this, we are not only expanding the utility and accessibility of XAUT tokens but also enhancing the flexibility and options available to our users, allowing them to leverage the benefits of both Ethereum and Arbitrum networks seamlessly.
Our bridge was developed and deployed into production at the beginning of 2024. It can be used to bridge XAUT from Ethereum to Arbitrum, BSC, or Polygon.
